Kybella
FDA-approved double-chin eraser — sharper jawline, permanently.
Service Description
Kybella® is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for the permanent reduction of submental fat — the "double chin" under the jawline. Its active ingredient, deoxycholic acid, destroys fat cells at the cellular level so they can no longer store or accumulate fat. Benefits: • Permanent fat reduction — results don't come back once cells are destroyed • Sharper, more defined jawline and chin profile • Non-surgical alternative to neck liposuction • Also suitable for small pockets like bra-line bulge Typically 2–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart for optimal results. Mild swelling for 1–2 weeks post-injection is expected and part of the fat-dissolving process. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT TO EXPECT 45 minutes. We mark the treatment grid under the chin, apply topical numbing, then deliver multiple small injections of Kybella. You may feel a burning sensation for 5–10 minutes after injection — this is the fat cells dissolving. Swelling peaks at 24–72 hours then gradually subsides. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PREPARATION & AFTERCARE Before: no blood thinners 48h, come with clean skin, eat a meal 1–2 hours before. After: expect swelling/bruising 1–2 weeks, ice 10 on/off, no vigorous exercise 24–48h, no facial massage for 2 weeks, wear a turtleneck or scarf if you want to hide the swelling. Avoid high-profile events for 1–2 weeks post-treatment. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FREQUENTLY ASKED Q: Is the swelling really 1–2 weeks? A: Yes, this is by design. The fat cells are dissolving — that's exactly what you want. Plan treatment when you can accept 1–2 weeks of looking "puffy." Q: Are results permanent? A: Yes. Once fat cells are destroyed they can't come back. However, remaining cells can still grow if you gain weight, so maintaining a stable weight is important. Q: How many sessions? A: 2–3 typical for full results. Some clients with more fat need 4–6. Q: Does it hurt? A: Mild pain during injection, then a burning sensation for 5–10 min as it begins dissolving fat. Topical numbing helps. Q: Am I a candidate? A: Best for moderate submental fat in otherwise fit clients. If there's significant skin laxity, Ultherapy or filler may be better combined/instead.
